A year ago today a friend called to tell me you were tired of fighting... and I knew exactly what that meant. I knew I had a few days before I would get the news that the fight had ended. Not because you had lost or given up, but because it had just been long enough. I thought by the time the news would come I would have been ready for it, I don't think any of us were and I am sure some of us still aren't. Every life you were a part of, every soul you touched is better because of you. I know everyone misses you because you were such a great man, friend, brother, and son. I miss you because you were just great.

I did not have the pleasure and honor of knowing Daniel, but I do know Robert and Mrs. Biferie since i came to Deltona in 1986. My condolence, and prayers to Mr. and Mrs. Biferie and the rest of the family. I pray for comfort and peace to the family. Rest in Peace Daniel.

I was one of Dan's nurses at Moffitt. He was such a gentle and kind young man and I am glad to have known him. Rest in peace .

Dan, aka Bif was a great man and an even better friend. He was so strong and had such a big heart. We used to joke around and say he was my white brother and i was his black bro.  I will miss the sushi, fish fry, and playing Street fighter 2 till 2am in the morning. I would stop by his house and he would cook breakfast for me and my brother because thats what he loved to do. I was deeply saddened to hear of Dan's passing.  I feel truly blessed to have known such a wonderful, genuine person with such a pure soul.  Although Dan and I have lost touch over the years, I will never forget the great memories we shared. I first saw you playing "magnet ball" about age 5.  After that, you became a part of our family (and ate a lot of our food!).  But, over the years, you grew into a fine young man that I was proud to know. Daniel will forever be missed. I met Daniel many years ago, thanks to Moseley. I did not know him well, but I know his journey helped my sister, Evelyn, with hers. For for that, I am eternally grateful. May they both rest in peace.

I was blessed to be introduced to Daniel by my Sears co-worker Moseley, a very good friend of Daniels. In the short two and a half years I would talk to him when we were out with the after work crowd or when he would stop into Sears to chat I enjoyed him so much. He was always so honorable and kind. He was a lovely person inside and out. His smile was infectious. No matter how he was feeling he was always positive. I am very sorry for your loss. Daniel it has been a pleasure knowing you over the past almost 15 years. The fun times at sear, and after work at Micke Finns for wings and beer with the old work crew. And the last couple of years living next door to you has indeed been fun. Your sushi nights will be missed. I will try to enjoy life as you did and know it is a gift and not take it for granted.

I'm so sorry Suellen.  From knowing you and working with you, I know that there was not a day in his life that he didn't feel loved.    I am thinking about you.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. I want to share my deepest condolences with Daniel’s family. He was truly one of the most amazing people ever to touch my life, and I don’t think anyone who knew him could say a negative thing about him. The world is not as bright without him in it. I will remember him fondly; I will remember the gentleman, the loyal friend, his laugh. As a mother I hope to raise my boys to have the same endearing qualities that defined Daniel. He was strong and humble, and I will never forget his kind smile and our friendship. I was blessed to have known him.

Words can not express the sorrow that my whole family feels at the loss of your wonderful son Daniel.  He always made me smile when he popped into the house and headed right for the refrigerator to eat the hard boiled eggs.  After a while it became a running joke at our house and my hubby always looked in the fridge and said...oh Daniel must have been here I gotta make more! :-)  and he would..just so Dan would have some the next time he popped over.  Or the time I was in my pj's with cream all over my face and curlers in my hair he said Mrs. P you look especially lovely tonight, have you lost weight?  haha  then the next question would be..can Joey go out with us tonight?   We loved that boy and will miss him terribly.  I wish we could say or do something to help you and Bob but I am afraid words would be just words at this time of great sorrow.  Please know that we loved him very much and will miss him terribly.

I am so sorry that Daniel experiences so much suffering during his short life. No one can imagine how difficult this is for you, but as you attempt to make peace with your loss may you find comfort in God's word the bible and it's many promises for mankind. You all are in my prayers.
