

Christopher D. Dotten, age 42, of Orange City, Florida, passed away after a brief illness on April 5, 2025. Born on January 16, 1983, in Winter Park, Florida, Chris grew up in a loving family and attended DeLand High School. He later pursued certifications from trade schools, which led him to a fulfilling career in rail car manufacturing as a machinist at Trinity Rail in Longview, Texas. His work on rail cars was not just a job; it was a passion that showcased his dedication and craftsmanship.
A passionate advocate for Autism Awareness, Chris dedicated his time to supporting this important cause. He had a profound love for his family, especially his children—Gavin, Gage, Lucious, and Everleigh—who were the light of his life.
Chris was an outdoor enthusiast, finding joy in fishing and working with his hands. He was a die-hard Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, proudly cheering for his team through every season.
Chris is survived by his mother, Jan L. Dotten; his children, Gavin, Gage, Lucious, and Everleigh; his sister, Bailey M. Dotten; as well as his uncle, Jere Dotten, and aunt, Bonita Dotten. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Autism Awareness and the American Cancer Society. A celebration of life in honor of Christopher will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763.
Chris’s spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, and his legacy of kindness, passion, and joy for life will continue to inspire all who knew him.
