Sweet Angel!

Mother, as I affectionately called you, today I am saddened but at peace because you’re at peace and resting with the Lord and together with Papa Anibal.

I was blessed to have you around this long and watch your loving arms care for family, friends, neighbors and anyone in need for that matter.

You were an extraordinary and  amazing woman; loving, caring, humble and an example and inspiration to everyone around you.

I cherish many fond memories that will keep you alive in my heart and soul; for instance, you washed my mouth with a soap bar when I was 10 because I cursed! Well, it didn’t freaking work but I love you for trying… I can still taste that soap today! The trips to the beach in grandpa’s jeep, that sometimes wouldn’t start and you at 5 foot nothing and around 120 pounds would push it so he could pop the clutch and get it started; such a strong woman! Your cooking was amazing, your wisdom, dedication and sense of humor were unparalleled. Up until your early 90’s you were always the life of the party; the dancing, the shots without cringing, the singing, all of which Yvette inherited and will carry on for you!!

In closing, I could go on and on but there’s not enough time for all my memories with you; however, know that I and everyone present here experienced that unconditional love and we will forever love and miss you! 

Until we meet again, my sweet angel, rest peacefully and watch over us!
