Age 75, passed away on February 26, 2017 at Florida Hospital South in Orlando, Florida. Barbara was born on March 21, 1941 in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. She spent many years working as a secretary and also in direct sales where she earned several awards and accomplishments. She then had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom. In 1990, Barbara and her husband retired and moved to Deltona, Florida with their family.
Barbara was a devoted wife and loving mother who valued her family more than anything. She was a selfless woman with a heart of gold, always putting others first. She never missed an opportunity to support her children in sports and other activities. She was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether it was a big family cookout, game night, or simply playing cards at the kitchen table, these were the moments that brought her the greatest joy. Barbara’s interests included reading, ceramics, card games, shopping for others, and spending time with her friends playing Bunko. She also loved collecting angels and porcelain dolls. Through the years, she was very involved in her church where she directed the Women’s Fellowship and Children’s Ministry. Barbara held a strong sense of faith and was a compassionate listener and confidant who could often be heard saying, “It will be okay, everything happens for a reason.”
