When Judy and I moved into our Old Mill Dr home in mid-2010, we had no family in FL at all.  Then God smiled on us, and paired us with an Italian, Long Island, paisan in the house right next door to us.  I immediately felt at home and a lot less home sick.  Tony was the man with the big voice, but he was truly a teddy bear.  He was so much more than a neighbor, he adopted us as true family, helped guide us with renovating a badly abused home, and kept us up to date on all Deltona happenings.  Tony was a close friend, mentor, and dad.  Tony will always be the Mayor of Old Mill to us, seemingly knowing everyone in the neighborhood.  We severely miss our friend, but remain eternally grateful for his love, caring, and support.  We were extremely lucky to have known this wonderful man with the limitlessly big heart.  I’ll be keeping him updated on the happenings now.   Rest my friend, with all our love & appreciation.

Tony was the Uncle we were never blessed to have but was one we always wanted.  He was the neighbor most of you wish they had.  Tony and I shared many interest and likes but none other than our homeland of Long Island, New York.  He would holler down the road to me, “aye Mrs. New York, how are ya?” Man, will I miss that. I will miss seeing him buzz around the front yard, manicuring it until it was perfect.  I will miss the summer evening nights when he would yell for us to come down, put chairs in the driveway, pull out a Budweiser for us to drink and then maybe a Coors light, you never really knew what he would offer but his hands and arms were always open no matter what.  He really was one of a kind - he loved us and we love him.  May your family and those that love you find comfort knowing you are finally free.  May you rest in peace our sweet Tony.

My favorite Uncle Anthony,
Oh how we miss you! Although we all were heartbroken to learn of your passing, we are consoled by the promise of our Lord in the scriptures that we will, as surely as the sun will rise tomorrow,  will be together with you again. We love you dearly,sweet Uncle. 
My wonderful cousins, Uncle was so proud of you all, and all the grandchildren. He would always tell us of all the fun you all had together throughout the years, and he looked forward to us all getting together for a family reunion someday so we could all make more wonderful memories. Let's all keep in touch so we can still have that wonderful reunion in honor of him. I know that would really make him so happy and all of us too! We love you all,

A Snippet of my Father’s Life: 

 The Early Years: 

Pheasant Hunting, Fishing, Crabbing all night, Camping, Canoeing the Delaware River, Sunday dinner (Big Italian Family style) at his parents then at his home, Classic Cars (his –friends-the older boys & his daughter- Modifying & Cruising). Motocross racing with his youngest son.   

The Later Years: 

Baseball Games with his Grandsons from pee wee league till they graduated High School, Landscaping his yard, Traveling, Card games with family & friends, Family time, Riding his bicycle & moped around Deltona & Neighborhood interactions (Helping hand or friendly conversations). Beating the One Arm Bandit (slots) at his Favorite Resort was a must once or twice a year. He always had a Smile enjoying these activities of his Early Years & Later Years. 

Throughout all his years he was especially fond of a good conversation with just about anyone and about anything. Case in point, There was No such thing as going to the Store (or anywhere for that matter) and Getting in & Getting out. 

He will be greatly missed & always loved. 

Pops, It’s going to be very difficult not having our morning coffee, conversations & the laughs. See you on the other side.

From next door neighbors the Ortega family we have known Tony for four months, and we were already like family he was always doing his lawn and always talking about his family how great his kids are and every day he will text me if you want to talk every day I will miss him a lot. He was just like my father. My kids will miss him my wife and mother-in-law will miss him, he was like part of the family already. He will be missed. God bless him wherever he's at. Amen

Today, I remember and celebrate the remarkable life of the most incredible friend, mentor, idol and father. You were not just my dad, but my best friend too. Happy Birthday, Dad. You are my eternal hero!!

I was very young when Anthony became part of my family. He was more like a brother than a brother-in-law. I have a lot of great memories spending time with him, my sister and my nephews and niece.  One great memory was when Anthony walked me down the aisle on my wedding day.  My thoughts and prayers are with all family and friends that he left behind, especially my nephews and niece, I love  you so much always.  Love, Aunt Eleanor  ❤️💕🙏🙏

Tony was like a 2nd Dad to me. I grew up with his Daughter Laura. He was a good guy who will be greatly missed.
