Alice was born on January 28, 1935 in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Plant High School in Tampa and received her B.A. degree from Brenau University, Gainesville, Georgia. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and remained “sisters” with other ADPi’s throughout her life. She was a high school home economics teacher in Hillsborough, Seminole, and Volusia counties until her retirement, making a difference in the lives of many students and young people.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of DeBary. In addition to her family and many friends, she loved the beach, the sun, ladybugs, violets, painted fingernails, jewelry, and shopping.
Alice is survived by: her two daughters, Laura Vaughan-Bosco and Victoria (Tori) Vaughan Fox; her son/son-in-law, Dan Fox; her grand-children, Victoria Bosco, Dan Fox, Alex Fox, and Jesse Fox; her great-grandsons, Gabriel Zettle and Malachi Zettle; and her cat, Bobby Lee Romanello.
In lieu of flowers, her family is requesting that donations be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, West Volusia Care Center, where she was treated with much kindness and respect.
Alice’s Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 1, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of DeBary, 267 East Highbanks Road, DeBary, FL.
