She was born July 24, 1947, in Iron Hill, Kentucky, to the late Lucy A. (Swinford) and Arvil L. Alexander. Susie was employed as the Assistant Auditor for the State of Ohio Auditors Office retiring after 25 years of service. She was a member of Avenue Church (formerly Ontario Church of God) and served as Treasurer for 23 years. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, playing Candy Crush and closely followed the Ohio State Buckeyes. Susie’s family was her top priority. She was the matriarch of her family and treasured every moment in their presence.
Susie is survived by a daughter, Nina (John) Sheetz; daughter-in-law, Denise Tolliver; two granddaughters, Ashley (Dustin) Frye and Kaylee (Mickey Weber) Tolliver; two grandsons, Kevin (Krissy) Kaczmarski and Raymond Kaczmarski; a great-grandson, Jayden Weber; two brothers, Jerry (Sue) Alexander and Stephen (Carol) Alexander; sister, Mary (David) Isaacs; and numerous nieces and nephews she held dear in her heart.
In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tolliver in 2019; son, Harold Lee Tolliver; brother, Arnold Alexander; and sister, Karen Ruth Alexander.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Avenue Church, 1756 Park Avenue West, Ontario. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Nate Hultz will follow at 12:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
