Ronald was born on June 18, 1943 in White Lake, Wisconsin to Ansel and Nancy (Mabry) Stamper. On December 30, 1964, he married the love of his life, Janie (Cole) Stamper. Ronald worked at Empire Steel Mill. He was a self-taught musician; playing, collecting and building custom guitars. He loved and enjoyed time with his family, especially making music. Ronald was a friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Janie; and their three sons, Ronald K. (Carla) Stamper, Kirk N. (Carla Dlesk) Stamper, and Keith (Kelly Latimer) Stamper; eleven grandchildren, Destinee (James) Roman, Kassidee Stamper, Tiernee Stamper, Kelly (Josh) Harrison, Casey Stamper, Destiny (Trey) Nettles, Kristin Drew, Rik (Ashley) Stamper, Sidney (Matt) Smith, Kidron (Emily) Stamper, and Brooklyn Stamper; twelve great-grandchildren; and his sister, Drema (Allen) Santamont.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Harold Stamper and Ray C. Rice; a sister, Yvonne Wagner; and a grandson, Ryan Stamper.
His family encourages everyone to wear Ronald’s favorite color, red, in honor of him. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 am-1:00 pm on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd. His son will officiate his service beginning promptly at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. There will be a reception following services at Crossroads Church-Ontario Campus, 636 S. Lexington Springmill.
