She was born March 17, 1933, in Wüstenrot, Germany, to the late Frieda (Feucht) and Johannes Haaf. In 1959, she married Arthur Stuenzi and emigrated to the United States, making their home in Syracuse, New York. Upon Arthur’s retirement, they moved to the Mansfield area. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church of Lexington. She worked for many years cleaning at church and as a nanny for several children. Lore was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking and having company was one of her favorite activities.
Lore is survived by a son, Samuel (Paula) Stuenzi of Syracuse, NY; daughter, Wendy (Tim) Gerber of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Scott (Laura) Gerber of Shelby and Rachel (Abe) Rufener of Rittman, OH; seven great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Audrey, Mary and George Gerber, and Milan, Titus and Lily Rufener. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur George Stuenzi; son, Arthur Eric Stuenzi; and nine siblings.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 a.m. conducted by ministers of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Apostolic Christian Faith Church of Lexington, 225 S. Mill Street, Lexington, Ohio.
