Born March 20, 1970, in Mansfield, Ohio, he graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School with the Class of 1987. He was a dedicated bulk driver for Charter Next Generation-a job he loved. When James was not on the road, you could find him working on vehicles or making his yard look amazing. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, being outdoors, and building and playing with monster trucks as well as watching monster truck shows. By far, his most meaningful and joyous times were spent with his family-especially his grandchildren whom he adored. James was the most loving, dedicated, hard working husband and father who provided for his family in innumerable ways. His smiles and hugs lit up the room when he walked into it.
James was a faithful man who openly shared his love of the Lord. He was a faithful servant giving of himself in whatever way was needed. He attended church whenever he was not away for his job, but he was never without his faith at the forefront. James had a kind, giving and loving spirit and was friendly to all. He was unselfish, putting the needs of others above his own. He was willing to help—be the need financial, spiritual or a helping hand sharing his talents. His kindness was remarkable, and he had an inviting and welcoming presence. People felt comfortable in his company. James was a quiet confidant who gave grace and acceptance to all. His gentle, loving spirit will remain in the hearts of all whose lives he touched. The loss of his presence on earth will be great but knowing he is walking the streets of gold is a comfort for everyone.
James is survived by his loving wife, Tabitha Carol Wilson Newman; parents, Thomas and Julie (Roeder) Bachman; stepchildren, Erica Rice, Brandon (Brie) Rice and Ashley Pauley; sister, Tammy Newman (Kenny) Kruso; aunt, Carol Cogar; and cousins, Harvey, Bill, and Harley Doncoes and Alan Bowman.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bettie and Roy England; uncle, Leon Cogar; nephew, Josh Wilson; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Linda Wilson.
