Jack was born on September 3, 1932 in Mansfield, Ohio. He was the son of Adolph and Mary Vogel Plieninger. Jack resided in Mansfield his whole life while continuing to maintain homes in The Villages Florida and Muirfield Village in Dublin for eight years toward the end of his career. Jack was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and Ashland College. He completed the management program with Westinghouse Electric Corporation. He was employed with AB Electrolux out of Stockholm, Sweden, a parent company of The Tappan Company and White Westinghouse. Jack retired after 50 years of dedicated service as Senior Vice President of AB Electrolux. He was a car enthusiast and golfer who loved Ohio sports and his beloved dogs, Cooper and Sparkle.
Jack will be missed dearly by his loving wife of 67 years, Donna Goodman Plieninger; his children, Scott (Lorie) Plieninger of Ontario and Rick (Kristen) Plieninger of Liberty Township; his grandchildren, Justine (Casey) Bond, Josh (Bailey) Plieninger, Paige (Tyler) Hoag, Tyler Brady, Ryan (Mackenzie) Brady; his great-grandchildren, Holden and Evelyn Bond, Josie Plieninger, and Brooklyn and Annalise Hoag; his brother, Bill (Norma) Plieninger; sister-in-law, Carol Zimmerman; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Marlene.
Family will greet guests on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington Springmill. The family will lay Jack to rest during a private family burial service.
