Donna Jean Neider

She was born June 11, 1949, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Charles T. and Marjorie D. (Butt) Brauchler. She grew up in the area and attended Lexington schools. Donna was an active member of the Apostolic Christian Church and was baptized on April 16, 1967. She had a servant’s heart and volunteered in many capacities including making blankets for cancer patients. Donna was employed as a legal secretary at Weldon, Huston and Keyser for many years.

On June 22, 1968, she married Henry “Hank” Neider and became the best wife and mother he could have imagined. She made their home beautiful with her gardening and decorating skills. Later in life, she and Hank spent their winters in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was an avid Cleveland Indians baseball fan. In her free time, Donna enjoyed golf, listening to Gospel music, reading, cooking, crafting, and traveling-especially on cruises with her husband and her annual girls’ trip with her daughter and granddaughter. Her most special times were spent in the company of her family, where many cherished memories were made.

Donna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Hank Neider; two children, Erin (Lisa) Neider and Stephanie Whitaker; two grandchildren, Dylan Neider and Ema Pritchard; a brother, David (Anna) Brauchler; a sister, Debra Balok; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob McGeorge.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Wappner Funeral Directors – Ontario, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM and will be officiated by Eric Weingartner. The family invites you for a meal after the service at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1332 Middle Bellville Rd., Mansfield.
