His life and dedication was being an Ontario Fireman. His love of his family fulfilled his life. Bill was a firefighter for 38 years, with several merits of
accommodation for going on and above the line of duty. Whether family or stranger on or off the job he was there to help people. He liked landscaping his home, he loved camping, the outdoors, biking, golfing, tennis, snow skiing and for over 20 years lead his 14 man & 10 man rafts down the Kern. Our family
has many great memories and will dearly miss him as Husband, Dad, Uncle, and Grandfather. He loved being apart of the Gideons, Upland Camp. Volunteering to Lay the bricks for several projects, building churches in Mexico.
He is survived by his wife Jo Anne Franks, Children: Carolyn Lorraine Franks-Fischer, Gregory Dean Franks, grandchild Amanda Jorie Hervitz, great-grandchildren Gerson Charles Hervitz, sister Colleen Franks Crouch, brother Glyndon Howard Franks, nephew William Scott Crouch, Robert Eric Crouch, Glyndon Leroy Franks, niece, Vicki Lynn Kerley. He will be dearly missed.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, 1:00 pm at Desert View Memorial Park 11500 Amargosa Rd., Victorville, CA 92393. In lieu of flowers Gideons Upland Camp and Surviving Families of Firefighters.
