Trevelyn Patton, 85, passed away quietly in her sleep, due to Alzheimer’s, on August 8, 2016, in her home at 916 West I Street, Ontario, CA. She was born in Kingston, Oklahoma on June 15, 1931 to parents Carrie Bryant Stewart and Ed Stewart and lived in Ontario for 54 years. She was a retired accountant who worked at the YMCA for many years, and was never without a job for more than 2 weeks in her working life. She was a voracious reader most of her life, loved music and dancing, loved every baby she saw and gave everyone she met a big smile. No matter how little money she had, she gave to every homeless person she came across. She often had family gatherings where family would come from all over to share food and stories. With the help of cousin Gary Wisser, she was responsible for bringing the Bryant’s and Stewarts together. She was a kind, compassionate and loving woman.
She is survived by her son, Jody Patton, daughter, Donna Patton-Cones, grandchildren, Taylor Patton and Lisa Parker, great grandchildren, Piper Patton, Maxwell Patton and Chance & Colby Parker. She was the last of seven siblings.
A memorial service will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 N Mountain Ave Ontario, CA 91762, at 11:00AM on Friday, August 26th. Her ashes will be placed with her Mother, Carrie Stewart, in the Bellevue Memorial Park Mausoleum.
