Theresa DeVries, 92, of Ontario, passed away on September 19, 2012. She was born on October 12, 1919, in Den Haag, The Netherlands and immigrated to the United States in 1948. She was a homemaker. Theresa was a member of the First United Reformed Church in Chino, California for the past 41 years.
Theresa loved to travel to the mountains and beaches to enjoy God’s creation. She enjoyed visiting her family in the Netherlands. She loved the Lord, and her family. And she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Theresa is survived by her three daughters, Dorothy (Richard) Docter of Chino, Sylvia DeVries of Ontario, and Mary Ann (Benjamin) Sybesma of Ripon, CA. Her grandchildren: Christy Docter, Melinda Segaar, Katie Buchberger, Rachel Mouw, and Derek Sybesma. Her great-grandchildren: Alex, Madelyn, and Amelia Buchberger, Jared, Dylan, and Emily Segaar, Cailyn, Lauren, and Levi Mouw, and Benjamin Sybesma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick DeVries (1997), four brothers, and five sisters, all of whom lived in The Netherlands.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 27 at the First United Reformed Church, Chino.
