With heaviness in our hearts, we are saddened to announce that at the age of 83 Rogelio Salinas has passed. He took his final breath on February 28, 2023 in the comfort of his home. He leaves behind his wife Ester Salinas, his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He fought two long months in the hospital trying to get back to good health but God was ready to take his angel home. He was a kind, loving, funny man who if you knew him loved drinking his Pepsi soda in his big orange cup! We will always miss stealing your sodas and you calling us “crazy nuts.” We will miss when you would yell for grandma when her phone was ringing “Ester tú teléfono.” All the times we would go mess with you and you would call us crazy or say “what do you want” knowing we were about to ask for something. All the Friday’s growing up you would give us money and we would all run to the ice cream man. You had a very particular step so we always knew when you were up walking around. This lifetime won’t be the same without you. The house feels empty without you. Life on this earth is only temporary and every memory we had now is a treasure. A treasure we keep close in our hearts until we are rejoined in heaven forever. For this isn’t good bye but we will miss you until we meet again.
Draper Mortuary extends our deepest condolences to the Salinas family, friends, and to all who knew him, during this difficult time. Rogelio will be greatly missed.
