Raul Anselmo Diaz Sr.

Raul Anselmo Diaz passed away at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana, California on June 3, 2018. Raul was born in Las Tunas, Cuba to Manuel de Jesus and Maria Luisa Diaz on April 21, 1931. He was 87 years young.

Earlier in Raul's life, he lost a son, Raul Diaz, Jr.; a brother, Manuel "Manolo" Diaz; and sisters, Candida Salazar, Noemi Gutierrez, Ramona Diaz, and Anamaria Diaz. He is also proceeded in death by his parents Jesus and Maria Luisa Diaz.

He lived in Fontana for over 38 years and worked as a truck driver for 20 years. A member of the Church of God, Raul found fulfillment in his worship of the Lord as well as his devotion to his loving family; and he found enjoyment while working with his hands in both auto repair and farming.

Raul is survived by his wife, Ana Luisa Diaz; his daughters, Maria Christina Diaz, Mayra Sanchez, and Sandra Diaz; his sons, Raul A. Diaz, III, Leo Diaz, Luis Jesus Diaz, and Guillermo Sanchez. Also surviving Raul is, his sister, Edilia Prendez; and his brother, Manuel Diaz. He was blessed with fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Avenue, Ontario, California on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. During the evening, a Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will occur starting at 6:30 pm. Burial Services will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 W. G Street, Ontario, California on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 am.
