To our family and people who really knew him, Paul was an amazing man. He was a dedicated and caring person of deep-seated values and unwavering beliefs. he took his duties and responsibilities very seriously. He believed that while you were on this earth your job was to live your life with dignity, respect and honor, to be the best person you can be, while contributing to make a better life for the people around you.
Paul had many facets to his personality, he was a gentlemen, honest and true, what you saw is what you got, no gimmicks or games, just the true man that stood in front of you.
He was civilized, educated, well mannered and a quite leader. He led his family in the right direction, by his example, by using few words and just by his simple actions. He was genuine, artfully subtle and proficient in everything he did.
Paul was a man of great intellect and intelligence; he was talented clever and very logical. He would read, analyze, and investigate everything he did to find the best approach to the situation. He was always coming up with new ingenious ways of looking and doing things to make life easier. ( He was also the first to point out how you could improve on what you were doing with or without his requested help)
Professionally- He was committed, dedicated, competent and accomplished. There was never a time that when he did not commit his efforts or expertise to any task or assignment, that he couldn’t find a way to make it better or more meaningful. He was never satisfied with just getting something finished. His logic and analytical mind would always find new ways to look at a situation or problem. Everyone who dealt with him professionally or on a project knew his reputation for his work ethic and dedication.
Personally- He was a loving, profoundly tender, compassionate, and caring person. The depth of love he had for his loved ones is everlasting. His loyalty was unwavering, he stood by your side through all of the good times and the bad. His generosity was unquestionable. He always had an open heart and open mind for anything that we needed, always generous and supportive with his time no matter how busy, or towards the end how bad he felt, he would stop, listen and offer to help with the situation.
Courageous- Paul taught us that no matter what you have planned; life may have a different one. He showed us how to climb a mountain even when there was no assurance of making it to the top. He climbed that mountain every day for the last four years, as hard as that climb was he still showed kindness and grace to all around him.
Paul was magnetic; everything about him drew you to him, offering words of wisdom and kindness that made you just always want to be around him. His trustworthiness, support, and selflessness were unquestionable. Everything he did was for his family and he always went above and beyond to do everything in his power to make sure that his family was taken care of.
Paul Dean Giles, the man who led a honorable and hardworking life, who loved deeply and never, wavered from his principles and values. He was devoted and faithful to the ones he loved and the ones who loved him. He was a strong shoulder to cry on, or the mind of great advise. There was never a promise not kept, or a moment without his support. He deserved and earned the upmost respect for all his accomplishments and achievements.
A devoted husband and best friend of 51 ½ years, dependable father, father-in-law, compassionate papa, loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle and caring friend.
And absolutely 100% UNFORGETTABLE! He will always live in our hearts and will always be a part of our everyday life. We won’t be the people or the family we are today if it were not for his influence, encouragement and wisdom.

Paul’s fingerprints are left on everything he has touched and on all of our hearts, in all of our lives, and in all of our memories. Those fingerprints are what made us the family we are today and because of him we will be able to find out strength and push forward, always remembering the things he taught us and the values he gave us.
