In Loving memory of Linda Rochelle Smith, born February 7th, 1959, the second and youngest child of Edward and Sandi Jenkins. “Just what we wanted” was how her parents always spoke of their daughter, Linda. She was truly the apple of her father’s eye. Coming just one year after her brother, Bryan, they grew up like two peas in a pod. Linda was an outgoing person with an outsized personality, you always knew she was in the room. The only thing she was quiet about was giving. She did a lot of that under the table, from meals to checks. The evidence was in the wide range of people she touched. She wore her feelings on her sleeve. If she liked you, you had friend for life, if she didn’t, let the door knob hit you where the good lord split you! Linda loved animals and loved life. Her patience worked hand-in hand with her creativity. She loved engaging in artwork, ceramics, painting, puzzles.. and her pets. To pay the bills she dedicated almost 30 years to customer service at the L.A. Dept. of Water & Power, and during that time made some lifelong friends. After a short first marriage, she met her soulmate, George, for a second marriage that turned into a lifelong party. They never had kids, but they lived like kids, sharing more than 25 years of travel, partnership, and building a home & life together. Their house parties were legend. Good times were truly had by all... even the neighbors! Linda lived the last decade of her life afflicted by dementia and succumbed to it on November 30th of 2022. She is survived by her brother Bryan, his wife Victoria, and her mother Sandi, along with many loving family and lifelong friends.
