It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our beloved daughter/sister/aunt Leslie “Sissy” at home with her mother and father by her side in Ontario, California.
Leslie was our family’s special blessing from God born in Lawton/Fort Sill, Oklahoma on September 24, 1960 to her dedicated father and mother, John and Dina Muñoz. Only given 3 days to live by her doctors at birth, she proved them all wrong by living 63 wonderful years.
She kept busy her entire life attending various special needs schools, OPARC, Buena Vista, Linda Vista, Dominga High School, Pomona Valley Workshop/Anthesis. She and our family made many lasting friends at all of these schools and are eternally grateful for the care she received at all of these schools from the dedicated teachers and staff.
Our “Happy Grouch” will forever be missed by her mother and father, her 3 siblings, Eric (Eva) Muñoz of Ontario, Charles (Tina) Muñoz of Idaho and Marisa (Jeff) Jones of LaVerne along with her 2 nephews, Deric (Lyndsay) Muñoz and André (Jonni) Muñoz and 4 great nephews and nieces, Logan, Olivia, Gracie and Joaquin.
Services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 with a Rosary @ 9:30 am and Mass @ 10:00 am @ St. George Catholic Church, Ontario, CA. Reception to immediately follow.
In honor of Leslie, the family request that everyone wear bright colors to the services and in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Anthesis, 1063 W. 6th Street, Ontario, CA 91762 (anthesis.us)
Draper Mortuary extends our deepest condolences to the Munoz family, friends, and to all who knew her during this difficult time. Leslie Carin Munoz will be truly and greatly missed.
