When thinking of Julie, no memories come up immediately
What does come to mind however is her presence. She’s the first person you’d notice when walking into a room. She’s the person who was always laughing it up. 
I remember when she’d yell at someone for putting trash in the trash can just after it was emptied. I remember whenever we wanted to take a picture of her we would have to wait so she could powder her face because she claimed that her face was too shiny.

Our lives are forever changed.  There are no words to express the amount of sadness I have in my heart knowing I will never get to see Julie's smile or hear her laugh.  She always made me laugh with her silliness, she was always so caring, and always there when we needed her.  We could go months without talking but the minute we did it was like time never passed.  She has been a part of my life for over 30 years and I can't believe I can't pick up the phone and talk to her or take a drive to see her.  We will always talk about her and remember her in our hearts and household.  We love you my friend!!!!

The world is a little bit of a better place for having had you in it. I have nothing but good memories of you.  I remember having long, sensible conversations with you. You were honest and optimistic. Straightforward and genuine. You were supportive and had faith in a better tomorrow. -
We are going to miss you Julie. You are a part of our family. This is a huge loss for us.  We will miss making a few extra Chile Rellenos to send over to your house. I will miss your presents for our pets at Christmas. I will miss all the little gestures and things you did that most people never find the time, or have the inclination to do, like sending Thank You cards, making us memorial ornaments, the holiday pastries, custom postcards, personalized printed gifts, the fun invitations and so much more. These were all examples of your big heart and thoughtfulness. Those things meant the world to us. -
Thank you also for raising an intelligent, interesting, and brave young woman in Alyssa. We are as proud of her as I’m sure you were. I am also proud of you too. Her accomplishments are a testament to the lessons you instilled in her and to your aptitude as a parent. You were a champion as a mother! One of the hardest working people I ever knew. -
Thank you for all the good memories.

Julie, my oldest sister....I will always remember when you took me to the park, and as we walked we both were chewing bubblegum. You taught me how to blow my first bubble that day! That's one of my favorite memories I have with you. When I think of you big sis, I remember how goofy and full of life you were. Always joking around, with a smile on your face. I remember you bringing me along to the beach with Alyssa, and inviting me to the pool at your apartment to swim when I was a kid. You were always cracking jokes and smiling. I love you my big sister. I will always and forever miss you and keep you alive through memories. I promise to always be there for Alyssa. I remember the day you gave birth to her and I was just so excited. It felt like you gave me a present! Lol! And you did, my first niece. I love Alyssa so much, and I'm proud of her. I know you are too sis....I love you so much Julie. I will forever miss you, my sister.

Julie, my beautiful, sweet, kind, caring cousin! I have so many beautiful memories with you. I remember that you always used to sit in the chair at Grandma and Pappa's and I would run to sit with you and I thought it was just SO cool how much you loved me. I never stopped feeling that way. I don't remember if we had so much in common because we were both so cool, or whether I needed to be just like you. You loved Coca Cola, so did I (and I thought about you every time I saw one of those bears). You were a basketball star and that's all I wanted to be. You were my first pen pal and I remember checking the mail every day to see if a new letter came from you. You were the only one I could even imagine using my Spice Girl stationery with. You are a huge reason I developed my love for cards and writing letters!
I have loved the holidays for so long and they wouldn't have been so much fun without you. Thank you for making us all laugh and for all the love you always gave us. Not only were you always such a fun cousin, but you were an incredible Mom. I was always so proud of Alyssa and after getting to watch her grow up, I know how much you loved and cared for her. I hope I can be a mom like you when I have my own kids. Thank you for always being such an incredible role model for me (and all of us). 
I know you'll always be with us and I'm so glad you get to be with Pappa and your dad. It still doesn't feel real that you are gone, but I'll never forget all of the memories we have together. I love you so much Julie!!

We feel blessed that our paths crossed through the bond of our daughters' friendship. You and Alyssa became part of our family as much as Grace became part of yours. We will always remember the great adventures you shared with the girls: trips to the apple farm, beach days, choir concerts, Knott's, Prom photo shoots, "Boo" buckets, New Year celebrations, Lake Perris, and the list goes on. It is those memories that we'll cherish always. You will be missed, Julie, but you will never be forgotten. Rest in heavenly peace.

My beautiful Cuz Julie! I have so many wonderful memories of us as young kids.  Some of my fondest ones are at Grandma & Papa’s house.  We loved the wooden horse swing made by Papa than hung on the back patio.  We spent many summers sliding on the slip n’ slide in the backyard, or swimming in the jacuzzi pretending the New Kids on the Block were our boyfriends. I’m so thankful I get to hold on to the memories we shared.  
Julie was always making everyone laugh with her big, boisterous and contagious laugh.  I can still hear it and see her glowing smile.  The best recent memory that will always make me smile is the Christmas Saranwrap ball, a tradition we will always carry on in her memory!!  
This past Christmas we weren’t able to be together but the best gift I received was a surprise. I had an unread voicemail on my phone from Alyssa (from her phone), but I never listened to it because Alyssa text me immediately afterwards.  I just recently checked that message before emptying my voicemail box, and to my surprise I heard Julies voice!  “Hey Cuz!” I’m so happy I have that and will cherish it always. 
Love you so much Julie, I just know you are with your Dad and Papa making up for lost time, watching some wrestling and probably balling it up with Kobe! <3

Julie Hiebert was a remarkable individual. Her smile and laughter brought so much joy to the people around her. Julie was the kindest most heart warming person I had the pleasure to know and I'm honored to have called her my friend. She was smart, strong, determined and a beautiful person inside and out. We will miss you Julie, but know our memories of you will be cherished for a lifetime. We were each others sidekick when it came to our kids school events or our kids birthdays. This was one of my most memorable...we were Cat In The Hat and Thing 1 Love Ya Julie, miss you my friend!

In my life, you and Kim were my first best friends. I don't remember how we met or when but I do know that you guys were my childhood. From riding bikes, roller blading, Bible study at the neighbors, sneaking to watch a little of 90210 lol, playing Sonic, Southridge parks, sleepovers...I even remember you and Kim calling me to tell me that she (Kim) was moving. I was so mad lol!  We lost touch in high school but there was always love between us. So many memories! Your crushes. Guys who crushed on you. Our very last day of high school, we walked to our cars together. We caught up and hugged each other. Facebook reunited us, we had plans. We stayed current on each other's lives. You caught me up on everything, I did the same. It was so nice. I was looking forward to seeing you, to talk about so many things. To hear that infectious laugh of yours. I wish we didn't wait. I wish this virus didn't ruin our plans. Afraid to visit loved ones, afraid to spread the germs. I wish we had the chance to see each other again. I will always miss you. On the brighter side, I was able to meet your Little Boo, Ms. Alyssa. Spending time with her was like being with you. We talked for a long time. This young lady is going places. You raised such an amazing daughter. I see so much of you in her. It took so much to hold my tears in. One day I will show her where we grew up and all our memories. You will always be the "mom" of the year! That Christmas box you created, finding the MC Christmas CD. Wow!!! You would be the one to come up with something so amazing and absolutely thoughtful. Lol! Well, this was supposed to be about a memory and leaving a photo. I couldn't find our pics but I did find my diary and it was fun reading all the inserts. And in it is a photo of you and Kim. My childhood besties! Forever in my heart. You will never be forgotten. Greatest memories, fun and funniest moments together! Love you always Jules! Rest in peace and love. 

Julie was a VIP, the very best kind of parent, a Very Involved Parent! She signed up to be my backstage manager at the annual GYS talent show. She came back and ran the crew even after Alyssa moved on to HS. She was always so kind and helpful. I will always have special memories of her and her love for Alyssa.

I met Julie when I was 13 years old and over the past 7 years she had become a second mom to me. She welcomed me as basically part of the family, I’m pretty sure I spent as much time at her house as I did my own. My favorite memories of her are all the times when she would take Alyssa and I out, and the radio would be blasting, mom would put on a performance in the car. It was always hilarious and her energy could never be matched. I loved spending time with her and I’m grateful that she was a part of my life. 

Julie’s welcoming generosity, and her smile and laughter would always warm the room on New Years Eve. During New Years Rockin Eve, I remember the laughter that would fill the room when she made jokes. Julie brought out the best in people, and I’m so grateful that I was able to know such a loving woman. Julie, you are forever in our hearts. 

Julie and Alyssa come to Christmas wearing matching elf dresses and stockings. That is how I think of Julie. Always trying to find joy in life even when things were hard. She always had a smile and a great sense of humor. She never missed a family event because family was so important to her. She spent quality time with Alyssa, Jennifer and Vanessa making wonderful memories that they can carry with them forever.  Alyssa, she was so proud of you and she will  always be with you.  She  was a big part of the family and she will be missed by all.   Love you Julie.

My childhood best friend/ sister Julie, 
I have tried to avoid social media since the day I read you passed.  Then my sister told me about your memorial. I thought all week about what I wanted to say or share.  But all I can think is that I haven't spoken to you in a few years. We have communicated via Facebook but that's it.  All the memories as kids in Fontana.... making mud burgers in front of my house, playing barbies in front of yours. Going to your dad's shop and playing kick the can (which I had never heard of). I only joined girl scouts to go camping with my best friend. We were always together, would even tell people we were sisters and our sisters were our neighbors. We even made a video of "Lean on Me" to send to Star Search. Our bike rides with Lynette. Once she even wanted to take a box of puppies that were left in front of the grocery store (I protested this one). I could go on forever. 
Alyssa, Jennifer, Cindy I love you all.  Julie was such a beautiful person with such a big ❤.  I will forever miss you my friend.

You are my best friend, an amazing sister and the most awesome aunt to my daughter. You had a laugh that was contagious and a smile that could brighten a room. I remember in high school if I had a teacher that you had before me they would always ask if I was related to Julie? I’d say yeah but I’m nothing like her, don’t expect the greatness out of me. I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have been able to call you my mom. You showed me what strength, hard work, and true love really was. My favorite memories will always be the little things. Coming home and hearing you say “hi boo,” cuddling and tickling you, joking around and laughing so hard our faces turned bright red. You were perfect in all your ways, even though you never felt like you were. I don’t know how you did it, mom. Thank you for making me your world and for raising me into the person I am. Everything I am is because of you and everything I do for the rest of my life, will always be for you, mommy. The last song I sang to you, just a few hours before you left us was “You Are My Sunshine.” Everyday I look up at the sun and I see and feel you shining down on us. Our niece Julie had an amazing heart. She was a very kind person and loved to laugh. She also had a difficult life at times,but would try to find courage to be light hearted and make others laugh as well. Her love for her daughter" Alyssa "was her strength. Our wish,no matter when our time comes.. is that we raised our children to be strong,independent,good humans and that they know they were loved.Julie accomplished just that. Julie it breaks my heart to know that you’ve been taken from this world and from your world Alyssa. I know how much she means to you and I hope you were able to say your goodbyes in peace. All those Target memories we had I will forever cherish and our friendship will continue when I get to heaven. I remember the one day I left my car keys locked in your desk and you drove all the way back from your house to unlock it so I could get home. You didn’t say not one complaint and at that moment I knew our friendship was real. I tried to be there as much as I could for you when you were having a bad day at work. I just hope I did enough to show you that I cared. You raised a bright and beautiful daughter and I know she’s made you proud and will continue to make you proud. I remember this one time when Julie took Cheyenne and I to the beach and on the way there Julie asked all sassy and jokingly " So you guys gonna look for some sexy guys" and me and Cheyenne said ewwww. It was the funniest thing thinking back on it. 

Julie, 

My best and forever friend since Jurupa Hills Elementary, Southridge Middle and Fontana High School. As I type this I can still hear your voice and that infectious & fun laugh that always made me laugh even more. 

Julie, I will always remember sitting next to each-other in Mr. Naterer's class in 5th grade and showing what new things we bought for our pencil boxes, borrowing a cool marker and correcting each other’s test & quizzes. You know what?! On my last move  I found a backpack full of letters from you that we used to write each-other and would pass notes and leave at each others desks or give to each-other during passing period. Those were our “texts” back in the day and you know what, I saved every letter and note you ever gave me. I still have them to this day. Those cool ways you folded a note ;)

I will always remember our chess games, eating brunch and lunch together with our Southridge friends when we got to Fontana High.  My tennis buddy too on the FOHI tennis team. 

Last time, I saw Julie in person was at Alyssa's  sweet 16 and I finally got to meet this lovely young woman that she always so proudly posted about. Alyssa was her EVERYTHING and she was the best Mom and always worked so hard for Alyssa. I remember the video she posted when Julie and Alyssa's Dad surprised her with keys to Alyssa's first car on Christmas Day. I always laughed with the standing broom challenge she posted last year and hearing those two laugh together. I will miss her posts. 

I was impressed what a fine young lady she raised and was always so proud of Alyssa.  They always took care of one another. I often told Julie, what a special mother/daughter bond she has because they remind me of my Mom and I. 

We all heal in our own unique way Alyssa but I am always here for you. 

Love you Julie, I wish you did not have to leave us so early.


We grew up around the corner from each other in Southridge and she was always smiling, funny, and positive whether at school or hanging out. I’m so sorry that she is gone. I loved seeing her post about her daughter and how proud she was of her. My family and I are praying for and thinking of her family. 

I’ll always remember Julie as she was, happy and full of life and love for her daughter Alyssa. Julie and Alyssa would call each other Boo and joke around a lot, her energy was unmatched. Julie was a mom to any of us girls that came over, she was always so sweet and funny.  Nothing could bring her down, she was so strong. Alyssa, you share that same strength and passion and love for life, never let that go. I know your sweet mom is watching over you and she loves you with all her heart. You share her strength darling, never lose that beautiful spirit. 

I remember Anda mom always there at Anda choir and water polo event’s cheer her on she was nice caring woman she will be miss 😭
