Our beloved John passed away on October 20, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Joseph Cavallucci. John is survived by his loving wife, Betty and his mother, Mary Cavallucci Mascarino. He also leaves behind his son, John Michael (Michae) Cavallucci of Glendale, Arizona; his daughter and son-in-law, Jill & Greg Ruzgerian of Fountain Valley, California; a brother and sister-in-law, Sam & Darece Cavallucci of Memphis, Tennessee; and a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne & Jenny Cavallucci of West Linn, Oregon. John's legacy also includes five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
John was born to Mary and Raymond on October 9, 1941. He attended Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, California. John served his country proudly in Vietnam from 1966-1968 in the United States Army. Following his time with the armed forces, John began his banking career as a teller at Bank of America. Later, he became a successful bank President and CEO of Chino Valley Bank; ending his career at Metro Commerce Bank in San Rafael, California as Chairman of the Board. John met the love of his life, Betty, and the two were married in 1981. Upon retirement, John and Betty moved to Granite Bay, California.
Although small in stature (all 117 pounds of him), John had the heart of a giant. His love for his wife and family was unparalleled. His passions included golf (first hole-in-one May, 2002) and a good game of poker. John especially enjoyed yearly trips to Las Vegas with his mother and his two brothers, trips with his son and daughter, frequent golf outings with his long-time high school buddies and many wonderful times spent with his adored grandchildren. His devotion to his beloved Westie, Jackie, was well known. John's final month was filled with the joys of a brand new puppy, Joey.
Many hearts are fuller today after being touched by John Cavallucci. John will be very much missed.
Viewing will be held in the chapel at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, California on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 am with a graveside service immediately following at 11:30 am at Bellevue Cemetery.
