Joe S. Silva

He was born in Artesia, California on April 19, 1945 to Joe and Eva Soares. His early years were spent on the dairy helping his family. He enjoyed people and spending time with his large, extended family. He loved music and dancing, going to the beach, bike riding, fishing, basketball, going to the movies and roller skating. He was a veteran serving his country in the United States Army, he was a dairyman and a truck driver.

Joe leaves behind his partner Linda Orona; daughter Vickkcie Soares and her partner Mariano Bartelli; step children Brian and Mia Orona; grandsons Nik Carbajal, Isaiah Nelson and Elijah Nelson, great grandson Niko Carbajal, sister Eva (Joe) DeMello; brother Narcie (Patty) Soares; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Eva Soares, his brother Tony Soares and his beloved dog BeBe.

Joe will be remembered as funny, kind, with laughter in his eyes and a heart of gold. Funeral services will be at 10am on Friday, July 22nd, 2022 at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, with reception to immediately follow at same location.

Burial will follow the reception at 3pm at Riverside National Cemetery.
