Jimmie graduated from Garey High School and received his diploma from Garey in 1969. He married Patricia Marquez on June 25, 1983. He had a career with Pomona Unified School District for 40 years as a Fire and Alarm Technician. Jimmie was an active member of the Pomona Eagles Aerie 2214 and had a passion for helping others no matter the commitment. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus for the less fortunate since 1978.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Marquez, daughter Sheri Marquez, granddaughters Stefanie Boatman, Shyla Marquez and Sadie Marquez, his grandson Sebastian Calderon, his brothers Arthur Marquez and Johnny Marquez,
his sisters Alice Whitelock, Mary Breshears, Josephine Sandoval and Gloria Karimi.
