James John Gorter

John was born June 3, 1946, to John and Agnes Gorter , he was the youngest of four children.. Raised on a farm near Somers WI until January, 1953 when the family moved to Ontario, CA. He attended Ontario schools graduating from Chaffey High School.

Upon graduation, John served in the Marine Corps until he was injured at a Navy air base in TN.

He was employed as a line foreman at Ajax Hardware Company where he met Barbara, the love of his life. They were married in April 1976.

John left Ajax and worked for a while in the construction field. He later joined Mattel Corporation as a manager. In the early nineties John and Barb opened B&J's pizza in Rancho Cucamonga and he made the best pizza ever. When that closed he worked as a manager for a security company and lastly back to construction.

John enjoy refurnishing his homes and collecting coke cola memorabilia. In the last few years he also enjoyed fishing and target shooting.

He is survived by two daughters Doreen Carr and Renee Bingham and four grandchildren and

his sisters, Clara Smith and Katherine Siegersma.
