Jacob was born December 1929 in Los Angeles California to Dolores and Jakob Tuscher. He was loved and cared for by his parent’s and his grandmother. He was proud of his Swiss and Mexican heritage. He graduated from Garfield High School in Los Angeles. In 1949 he met his wife Myrna through friends that set them up on a blind date. They were married for seventy-two years. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force spending most of his time at Nellis Air Force Base in Henderson Nevada. He lived in Montclair California for over 60 years where he built lifelong friendships.
He retired from General Electric as an Inspector over the Jet Engine Mechanics . In recent years he lived in an assisted living community where he developed new friendships and had loving caregivers that became family to him. He had a deep love for his family, friends, and his Catholic faith.
He enjoyed air shows, car shows, photography, working on cars, camping, and playing with his doberman Rusty. All of these were better when it included family and friends.
He passed peacefully March 14, 2024 surrounded by love. We will miss him every day. We will find strength in the family and memories that he gave us. We are comforted that he is at peace and that he is with his family and friends in the afterlife.
He is survived by his wife Myrna, seven children, sixteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. His children Angela Eisenbrey (Guy), Suzanne Avila (Ed), Paul Tuscher (Ramona), John Tuscher (Bertha), Marianne Pallotto (Bill), Joanna Evans (Tim), and Stephen Tuscher (Treva). His grandchildren Guy, Nicole, Ethan, Jack, Scott, Marc, Todd, Eric, John Jr., Billy, Debby, Jacob, Julianna, Ashley, Stephen Jr., and Alex. His great grandchildren Wyatt, Kayden, Madelyn, Katelyn, Austin, Lincoln, Kennedy, Elliot, Amelia, Anthony, Audrey, and Adalynn.
