Geraldine Josephine Sloan

Gerry was preceded in death by Wayne O. Sloan, her husband of 40 years, in 1994. Also preceded by sisters Mildred (Millie) and Ramona, and brothers Wilford (Wilf), Francis (Mike/Wimp) and Matthew (Jiggs). She was born July 6, 1929 on a Kansas farm to Mike and Lena Pelz. She is survived by 3 sons; Thomas M. (Coye) of Fontana, CA, John R. of Montclair, CA, and Dale W. of Mt. Vernon MO, 3 daughters; Donna J. Amundsen (Eric) of Reno, NV, Melinda S. Casteloes (Michael) of Poway CA, and Kathleen D. Sloan of Montclair, CA; a brother, Norman Pelz of Clearwater, KS, a sister, Patricia Rausch of Sequim, WA, and 7 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

She was a Montclair resident since 1954. Gerry was wonderful wife and mother, an avid reader, a master Bingo player & quick-witted, loyal friend to many.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm at Draper Mortuary in Ontario CA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Montclair. Internment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or City of Hope.
