Genevieve Martin

93, went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2015 at Chino Valley Medical Center, Chino CA. Genevieve was born June 22, 1922 in Pembina, ND to parents John "Odo" & Emma Trudel. She was the youngest of seven siblings. She married John (Jack) Johnson in 1942. John served in the United States Air Force, and was stationed in England during WWII. While he was out of country, Genevieve taught school at the Trudel Country School #76 in ND. During their union they lost an infant son, but were blessed with their second son Dr. James Patrick Johnson in 1946. She and her family moved to Chino, CA in 1950 and she worked as a Psychiatric Tech at Lantermans State Hospital for 21 yrs. Her husband John passed away in 1956. She later remarried in 1966 to Frank Martin, who passed away in 1987. Genevieve's kind heart, strong faith and abundant strength will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived in death by her daughter-in-law Susan Johnson (Alta Loma,CA), Grandson and wife John and Danielle Johnson, Great-Grandchildren Cody, Brandon, Hailie and Cole Johnson (Alta Loma,CA), as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by; Husband John (Jack) E. Johnson and Husband Frank Martin, infant son and son Dr. James Patrick Johnson, her parents and siblings. Services will be held on Oct.13,2015 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Chino CA. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario CA.
