We were young and mischievous growing up.  We had silly fun and some we would not want you to know.  Poor Renee and John, having to take us on dates (what more could they do, but get married at an early age).  Yes, the marriage would not last as I remember.  Those young kids don’t know what they are doing, so it was said.  

Love and devotion to one another did prevail.  In all the years of their marriage, I can never remember their being apart.  John’s Mother moved in with them.  What a delightful, humorous and loving person.  They were a family who played together, prayed together, and stayed together.  When they went shopping it was a family affair, but first they planned where to go and what to buy.  Renee was a bargain shopper.  I remember one time going with them.  Soon we were eating grapes and cherries.  Mrs. Bradshaw said it was okay because we needed to know they were okay to eat before buying them.  Sounded good to me until Renee discovered what we were doing.  She scolded us in a fun-loving way.  I thought she and John were clever when they came up with the idea of each family member planning one meal a week.  Each one had to prepare the list for what was needed, and the meal had to be nutritious (no junk food for them).  Did I mention, they also had to help prepare the meal, set the table and do the dishes?  

Resigned to the fact, she was never going to have grand children; Renee reached out to help others.  My own son, Mike, was devoted to her.  Both Renee and John opened their home to him in a time of need.  Then, in answer to prayers, grandchildren began to appear.  Nana is what they called her, and she adored each of them.  She beamed as she spoke about them, and they loved her, too! 

Never have I known anyone as devoted and loving as John was to Renee.  In all their married life, they were never apart.  In the five months she was in the hospital, he never left her side.  He did everything he could do for her with love and devotion.  She would cry when she would tell me about him, how he was her strength, and how much she loved him.  They had a never-ending love.  So now, I ask of those who first wondered, “How did this marriage ever last?”  

I will greatly miss my Sister.  We had a special something that is not explainable.  That will never go away.  I know in my heart and because of my faith she is with our Parents, Judy and Mrs. Bradshaw in that great home in the sky, and one day, God willing, we will meet again.

Through the years Renee was a dear and treasured friend. When I first arrived in California, she was very welcoming and helpful when we worked together at OCH. We enjoyed card games and social get-togethers, and exchanged memories of our children as they grew up. Unfortunately, as we grew older, we didnt see each other as often, but she and Jake were never forgotten. May God be with you at this sorrowful time, and Renee will always be remembered in our prayers. Jan & Larry Taylor & family

Dear   Bradshaw Family I am really sorry to hear of Renee's passing. She was such a nice lady. I remember at June's funeral afterwards at your house, you gave me a toy tiger you dog had liked. it is still my dog's favorite toy. Renee will be greatly missed. my prayers are with you.. I will always remember my husband and I coming home from England (military) and my sister Renee' and Jake having us and our Mom  over for tacos and bocci balls. We all had a wonderful time and I remember wondering who is this wonderful person who was my older sister, who I did not know as an adult? I saw then that she was a person to both admire and edify, we saw the love and friendship between her and Jake and that it was beautiful.
May her family know my prayers are with them always, and that through this time of sadness, they will feel her love and Gods combined to bring them peace. Her spirit and love is much to great to not reach across the heavens to comfort them even now.

We will always remember our family gathering in Munising, Michigan several years ago.  Renee and Jake were real troopers during our very cold summer visit.  Renee will be greatly missed. May God comfort you all and bless you all now and forever.

That is a lovely memorial for Renee'.  I enjoyed al the photos taken of her and her loved ones over the years.  She will surely be missed by everyone who knows her.  Her energy, her talents, her loving care given to family and home, and strength will never be forgotten.  Her grandchildren were fortunate to have spent time with her and to have felt her love for them.  Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all of us who knew and loved her.
