She was born in Chino, California, where she lived her entire life. Elvira was a busy and stylish homemaker, and she took pride in her work and her family. She was always busy in her home and garden, or with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, or volunteering with various groups, and she loved to dance. In her later years, she became the oldest human anyone had ever met, and she enjoyed laughing and sharing memories with family and friends.
Elvira was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus P. Ortiz, and her daughter, Lucille Ortiz. She is survived by her three children: Olivia (Tommy) Gracia of Ontario, Michael Ortiz of Norco, and George (Janet) Ortiz of La Habra; five grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
