Edward Frank Paris entered the kingdom of Heaven to be with the Lord on July 8th, 2013. Born January 10th, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio to Berardino and Anna Paris. He was the ninth of ten children, and youngest son.
He was married to Florence Bonacci in 1941. He then entered military service as a mechanic in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. They had two sons, Edward and Ronald, who were born in Cleveland where they stayed, until the family moved to California where they settled in Claremont in 1955.
Ed enjoyed and mastered the art of restoring many classic cars as a hobby and side career. He was the head mechanic at Ace Beverage and retired from Budweiser as their master mechanic of fleet trucks. Many will also remember Ed for working alongside his brothers at their family restaurants like Orlando’s. He also enjoyed making pasta dinners for the Catholic Church.
A true “handyman”, he could diagnose and fix almost anything.
He would have his sayings such as, “hey kiddo” and if asked how he was doing, would respond, “up tight and outta sight!”
Ed had 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Theresa of 22 years, who’s devotion to her was inspirational. And his only living sibling Cleo. Preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Florence of 39 years, sons Ed and Ron, brothers Roland, Fred and Orlando, sisters Gertrude, Rita, Dora, Lucille and Velia. And his grandchild Tanya.
A Memorial service will be held July 16th 1:00 p.m. at the Draper Mortuary Chapel in Ontario, Ca.
