David Daniel Moreno, 86, passed away Sunday, October 9th, 2022 at his home in Chino, CA of natural causes. Dave was born March 21st, 1936 in Upland, CA at San Antonio Hospital and was a native of Chino, where he grew up with his mother, Celia Moreno.
Dave was a very hard working young man and opened his very first service station while in his early 20’s: a Phillips 66. With great ambition, he became owner and operator of several Shell Stations in Chino, including a full service station with the very first Mini Mart in Chino on the corner of Walnut Ave. and Central Ave. It became known as Dave’s Shell to the community.
When Dave wasn’t hard at work, he also enjoyed playing golf, spending time with family, and traveling to Hawaii, Mexico, and Las Vegas with his beautiful wife of 67 years, Mrs. Josie Moreno.
He was also a devout Jehovah Witness and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is predeceased by his wife, Josie Moreno and his mother, Celia Moreno. He is survived by his children: Randy Moreno, Sandy Moreno, Doreen Perea, and Pete Perea (son-in-Law); his grandchildren: Monica Moreno, Joleen Calaway, Kory Calaway (grandson-in-law), and Pete D. Perea; and his great- grandchildren: Kolin Calaway, Madison Calaway, Kelly Calaway, Kayleen Calaway, and Ellena Moreno.
Mr. Dave Moreno will be buried alongside his wife, Josie at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, CA. There will be no services, upon Mr. Moreno’s request.
