Our beloved Daniel William Taylor “Dan” has passed away on February 16, 2025. He is survived by his wife Rebecca, son-Nathan, daughter -Amanda, and daughters -Eloise, Angelica, and Jennifer. Sister- Laura, nephew- Jonathan, & Grand children-Ava, JohnPaul, Chloe, Jonathan, and Giana.
Dan was born in Iowa, to parents William H. Taylor and A. Jeanette Wells. They moved to LA- San Fernando area when Dan was 12 yrs old. He attended Birmingham high school, Pierce Jr. College, and Long Beach State University for his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science major in Counseling, and credential in Pupil Personnel Services. Dan was a school counselor working for Ontario-Montclair School District for over 32 years. He was an educator who was truly there for the students, teachers and staff.
Dan loved life, his wife, family and friends. Simple things meant a lot to him; like coffee, flowers, breakfast, music and sports. Dan loved camping and nature, national parks, he was a track runner in high school and college. He loved baseball. He was a huge Dodger fan. He was in a horseshoe pitching league, a softball league. Dan loved football, the Lakers & fantasy football. He started the WWFFL league that’s still going for 20 years now. He loved playing pool, & having a Coors Light. He loved reading History books and Biographies. He loved listening to his huge collection of music from real country, bluegrass and singers like Merle Haggard, George Strait, Bobby Darin and Sinatra.
Dan was a giving person, a somewhat quiet man who listened to details of what he cared about…a patriotic man and a true romantic, a friend & gentleman.
Dan is the closest person to fit the saying, “To know him, is to love him” because he was one of a kind, and we will always have Dan in our hearts and memories.
