1946. He grew up in Ontario were he attended the local schools and played baseball for
the Knights of Columbus. He graduated from Chaffey High School in 1963 and then
continued his education at Chaffey College. In 1964 he enlisted in the Air National
Guard. Throughout his life he enjoyed trap shooting and was an avid fan of NHRA drag
racing.
He met his wife, Linda, in 1966 at the local McDonaldʼs restaurant and were
married shortly thereafter. Following their marriage they moved to Upland where they
raised their family. They were married for 37 years before he was widowed in 2004. He
is survived by his two daughters, Gail and Jolynn, and four grandchildren, Nicholas and
Bailey Stark and Brandyn and Alexys Gonzales.
He worked for Vortox in Claremont, RTD, and for the past twenty years he
worked as a school bus driver and in June he retired from the Bonita Unified School
District. He loved driving the children and interacting with them each day. He often
remarked how each of them made him smile, especially the younger ones.
