Stephan Banias Jr.

He was born September 16, 1948 in Oneonta to Stephan Banias and Anna Klingman.

He graduated from Oneonta High School and went to work for Scintilla and later worked at A.O. Fox Hospital and SUCO College as a custodian.

Stephan’s hobbies were riding in the trains at Milford and Strasburg, PA. He loved fishing with his father and grandfather and collected clocks and train memorabilia together. He was a avid reader of various subjects, war experiences of survivors and mystery stories.

He was a member of the Masons and also a member of the West Oneonta Baptist Church.

He married Sherryl White Hill on June 25, 1994.

Stephan is survived by his wife, Sherryl; daughters, Gloria Smith and children, Laura Sherman and children; his sister, Andrea Olmstead and daughters, Patti Olmstead and children and Robin Olmstead and children.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
