Patricia Ann Rice

She was born June 3, 1942, in Oneonta, NY the daughter of the late Robert G. and Rita (Friery) Adair. Patty married Harry H. Rice on July 12, 1973. Harry predeceased her on July 19, 2014.

Patty was a life-long area resident. She worked at several local business over the years including The Oneonta Hotel, George’s Restaurant, and Bresee’s Health Bar as a waitress. Patty also worked at Center Street School in the cafeteria and most recently at Walmart in Oneonta as a cashier.

Patty enjoyed gardening, watching birds, reading, puzzles, and she was always ready for a game of cards with family.

She is survived by her caring and loving daughter Faith Klein and Bob of Maryland, NY, her adored son David Rice and Mina of Brunswick, NY; her wonderful brothers Robert and Eileen Adair of Maryland, NY, Fred and Kathi Adair of Maryland, NY, and Donald Adair; Step children Roberta and Benson Persing of Duanesburg, Charlene and Alan Jaklitsch of E. Meredith, and Denise and Harold Wakin of Laurens;. She is also survived by 2 loving grandsons, Zachary and Adam Rice of Brunswick, NY., her Niece and Nephew, Tina Brundege and Kurt Adair as well as 5 step grandchildren.

Patty was predeceased by her stepchildren, Harry Robin Rice and Sandra Putnam and step granddaughter Amanda Wakin.

At her request there will be no services at this time.
