She was born on December 7, 1947 in Woodbury, NJ, the daughter of Clarence “Henry” and Mildred (Coward) Cook.
Cindy started her career as a nurse in the Emergency Department. She later went on to deliver mail for the USPS and eventually retired from there.
She kept herself busy by spending her time with friends and family, and caring for others in need. Her most favorite thing was going on a family vacation to Ocean City, NJ, every year.
Cindy was a cat lover and cared for animals deeply. She loved knitting blankets and hats and donated them to the NICU for newborn babies. She loved walking and the outdoors.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Abigail S. Kusko and partner Tyler Marzka of Cambridge Springs, PA; companion, Kevin Post and his daughter Michelle Post of Milford; Andrew Kusko of Ilion; Jim Shields (Kathy) of West Springfield, PA; Wayne Sargent (Cheryl) of Otego; and some very close friends and caregivers, all whom loved her dearly.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Karie Lynn Sargent-Shields; sister, Edna Utter; sister Patricia; and her parents.
