Judith Lynn Edwards

She was born May 5, 1953 In Sidney, NY the daughter of Richard and Natalie (Morosky) Edwards. She graduated from Sidney Central School Class of 1971 and then Delhi Tech. in 1973.

Judy worked for F.N. Burt in Oneonta for 38 years until her health forced her to retire in 2012.

Judy enjoyed gardening (mostly playing in the dirt) and just enjoyed life. She loved taking her beloved dog, Phoebe for her walks. But most of all, Judy loved spending time with her family and her many friends.

Judy is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Clark and Christy Edwards of CA and AZ; her close friend(sister), Sande Davis Doi (Doug) of Oneonta; “adopted sons”, Douglas (Kelly) Brent, IL, David (Sarah) Brent, FL, Jason Doi, Oneonta and Tim Doi, Oneonta; close friends, Karen (David) Elderkin of AZ; uncle, Walter Morosky, Sr., TX; cousins, Walter (Ginger) Morosky, Jr., TX, Linda Morosky, TX, Gary Morosky, TX and Wendy Edwards, CA; her beloved dog, Phoebe and cat, Louise. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Edwards and mother and stepfather, Natalie and Ralph “Jiggs” Charlton.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 10:00 to 11:00AM. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Judy Edwards will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Memorial donations in Judy’s name may be made to either the SPCA, 4841 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, New York 13326 or to Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, New York 13820.
