Diane Welton welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world who we know and love as John Welton, or as some would call him big John.
John was raised in New York City prior to his family relocating to Davenport. He attended Charlotte Valley Central School achieving his GED and education degree in carpentry.
John spent his early years working side-by-side with his grandfather Randy Hill in the family business All Out Carpet cleaning, for a time he worked as a machine operator at Catskill Craftsmen in Stamford, his most memorable career path was working at the Upstate Home for Children.
John had many passions that included music. His favorite instrument was the guitar. At an early age, John taught himself how to tune and play the guitar. John loved revisiting memories of his childhood, best friends, Rich, Dale, and Eric, but his biggest passion was his love for his family. John was incredibly close to his daughter, Juliette Welton and his sister, Lauren Welton, but what gave him the greatest joy in his life was the quality time he spent with his granddaughter Coraline and his niece and nephews Catherine, Dominic, Shailene, Tiara, and Raiden. John was extremely close with his nephew Dominic, he enjoyed spending time with him, talking about everything, encouraging and supporting his love of playing the drums in the future, and his interest in joining the military.
John will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and his endless generosity. He was a gift to this world and will be deeply missed and always remembered, John is survived by his daughter Juliette Welton; granddaughter Coraline Welton-Matthews; a sister, Lauren Welton, and brother-in-law, Robbie; nieces and nephews Catherine, Dominic, Shailene, Tiara, and Raiden; grandmother Helen Hill; and aunt Arleen Goscinski. John was predeceased by his mother, Diane Welton-Calchi; grandfathers John Welton and Randy Hill; his Aunt Catherine Blau; and uncles Leonard Blau and Paul Goscinski.
