Jayra A. Blanton

Jayra was born December 8, 1995, in Cooperstown, NY the daughter of Joseph and Nicole (Hall) Blanton.

She graduated from Charlotte Valley Central School. Jayra worked as a Home Health Aide for a period of time and most recently she was working at Arby’s in Oneonta. Jayra enjoyed social media and had many followers. She was currently working on hosting a YouTube channel for those interested in applying cosmetics. Jayra had a natural love of all animals especially her dog Princess and her horse Ditto. Jayra touched many lives and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving parents, Joseph and Nicole Blanton of Davenport; her brothers Christian Hall and Devon Blanton; her maternal grandfather, James Hall and her paternal grandfather John Blanton; her aunt and uncle, Mike and Catina Hall of Maryland as well as her uncles Robert and Ed Blanton and many other aunts and uncles; her cousins Aubrey Hall, Kiana Clapper, Kelly and Darrick Hall, Jacob Cravens, and Jackie Levine and several other cousins.

Jayra was predeceased by her grandmothers Geraldine Hall and Betty Blanton.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October, 23, 2021, at 10 am in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta, with Rev. Stephen D. Fournier, officiating.

Calling hours will be held on Friday evening, October 22, 2021, from 5 to 7 pm in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta at which time the family will be in attendance.

Burial and Committal Service will follow in the East Meredith Cemetery, East Meredith, NY.
