Dot received a master’s degree in library science from Syracuse University. She did her undergrad at Oneonta State College. She taught 1st and 2nd grade in Bainbridge and in North Syracuse. After retiring from the school system in 1991, she owned “Your Cup of Tea,” an antique business, and a booth at Madison Inn Antiques.
She was an avid gardener who grew her vegetables and flowers. She also enjoyed walking, hiking, reading, and doing home improvements.
