Anja Eramo

She was born November 11, 1935 in Inkeroinen, Finland the daughter of the late Eino Adolf and Maria Elisabet (Leinonen) Lakkinen.

Anja married Martti Eramo on June 11, 1955 in Finland. Martti predeceased her on September 12, 2006.

In 1968, Martti and Anja moved their family from Finland and settled in the area to be near Martti’s sister and her family.

After moving to Oneonta Anja, stayed at home and cared for her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking (you couldn’t leave her home without a home cooked meal and a full belly). She also enjoyed knitting and taking care of her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Anja is survived by her son, Kimmo and Marie Eramo; seven grandchildren, Jessica and Derek Clement, Jennilee Eramo, Shannon Eramo, Dillion Eramo, Cody Eramo, Kayla Eramo and Joshua Carrington; six great grandchildren, Michael Singletary, Nicholas Courtney, Addilyn Eramo, Kadyence Carrington, and Miles and Marshall Clement; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Lochridge and Michelle Eramo. She was predeceased by two sons, Kari and Esa Eramo and grandson, CW3 Christopher Eramo.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta.
