
He was born September 12, 1961 in Oneonta the son of Albert and Nancy (Fisher) Eichler.
Andy attended Oneonta City Schools.
On July 8, 1989, Andy married the love of his life, Gloria Sandike in Fly Creek.
For several years he worked at Corning, Inc. first as a machine operator and then in Quality Control. But before that, he worked at Custom Electronics and with the Forestry Department.
Andy was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. In his younger years, he used to run trap lines with his dad. He also enjoyed spending time in his garden. During football season, you could always find Andy watching the Buffalo Bills. But most of all, Andy enjoyed spending time with his family especially Gloria and their four fur babies.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Eichler of Oneonta; four fur babies, Sugar, Spookie, Abigail and Squirt; his mother, Nancy Fisher of Otego; two sisters, Dyanna Braun of Otego and Linda L. White of Otego; three sisters-in-law, Patti (Rocky), Hazel (Mike) and JoAnne; one brother-in-law, Bob; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and several close friends. He was predeceased by his father, Albert Eichler.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00am in the Oneonta Plains Cemetery with the Reverend John Grenier Pastor of the Oneonta Assembly of God Church officiating. Memorial contributions in Andrew’s name may be made to the Susquehanna SPCA, 4841 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, New York 13326.
