US Army - Spec 4 - June 8, 1982 ~ May 31, 1985

Survived by loving wife of 38 years Marietta; children Shaulee (Ryan) Berney, Lauren (Joe) Bertino, Kayla Boettcher, Joshua Boettcher; 9 grandchildren; parents Ronald Boettcher and Emma Cayou-Phillips; siblings; large extended family.

Visitation will be Sat, July 17, from 2-4pm. Funeral service will be Mon, July 19, at 1pm. Both service at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home.

Memorials in Verdel's name can be made to the Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs (301 Centennial Mall South, 4th Floor, PO Box 95083, Lincoln, NE 68509).
