Timothy Lee Nelson

November 21, 1943 - August 3, 2017

Tim was born in Omaha, Nebraska as the only child to Vincent Conrad Nelson and Neva Marie Nelson.

Tim and Kris were married on April 12, 1969, at Morningstar Lutheran Church in Omaha, NE.

Tim and Kris have 3 children. Ryan Nelson (Courtney), Cory Nelson (Kristin), and Lindsey Skwira (Todd). They have 6 Grand Children: Luke, Neva, Zoey, Harper, Ana, and Maggie.

Tim was in the Air Force from 1966 to 1970. Tim is a PGA Professional elected 3-1-1972. Tim spent time as a course pro in the Omaha area, including Platteview Country Club, Miracle Hills Golf Course, Happy Hollow Country Club, Pacific Springs, Eagle Hills, Tara Hills and The Knolls Golf Course. He also spent time in sales and golf product demo. He was a Golf Coach, helping at Creighton University, Head Coach for 1 year at the College of St Mary and the Head Coach at the University of Nebraska Omaha for 13 years (2003 - 2016). He was a rules official for Nebraska Golf Association and junior golf. He spent countless hours volunteering with youth and junior golf. He enjoyed teaching the next generation of golfers.

He enjoyed spending time with family. He adored his grandchildren. He spent his free time attending games and activities. He loved taking the family to eat at Le Peep for Sunday morning breakfast.

We will miss his positive attitude and infectious smile.
