Thelma Catherine Ramsdell

Thelma C Ramsdell was born in Juniper Green Scotland on October 6 1938 to John and Barbara (Sinclair) Russell She married Robert Ramsdell on August 16, 1958 and had 3 sons. She lived the life of a military wife, living in many different locations: Scotland, England Texas, Massachusetts, Germany and finally settling in Omaha, Nebraska. She had one brother and 3 sisters.

In Omaha, she worked on base at Offutt for a while, then found her niche as a sales clerk in the Jewelry department at J. C. Penney's in South Roads Mall. During her time off she enjoyed spending time with The Union Jack Club where she met a lot of friends and had many luncheons, teas and extravagant parties. She also enjoyed traveling to Scotland, New Zealand and Ohio to visit her brother and sisters. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She would always ask about the grandchildren. She would ask how they were and what they were up to. She was very proud of her family and their accomplishments

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Peter & Harry, Sister Olive, and her husband Robert of 62 years. She is Survived by her Children Jay, Paul (Karen) and Todd (Carol); Siblings Hazel and Cynthia, Brother in law Robert and Sister in law Vickie, and grandchildren Alex, Nathan, Trevor and Aaron and many other family members.

A visitation for Thelma will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, Nebraska 68138.
