I just now found out that Terry passed away.  I grew up in Omaha, not far from where Terry and his brother Perry (my best friend) lived.  I was at the Elmore house many times, and always enjoyed  conversing with Terry.  He was a beautiful soul and I always made it a point to speak with Terry when I visited.  I am so sorry to see you go Terry, rest in peace my friend.

Terry would visit the fire station on Dodge street and would ride his bike down. . A lot of the firefighters would buy him a pop and we would visit with him.  May he Rest In Peace!                                 

Terry was always happy and brought so much joy to everyone and every room he walked into in the Northwest Precinct. Rest In Peace Terry.

I met Terry at Winchester singing karaoke.  He was the most kindest, gentle, and happy man. Whenever I would see him out and about he always had a hug and kiss on the cheek for me.  In my mind and I'm sure a lot of others he was perfect.  My heart goes out to his family and all his friends.  RIP Terry. We will always cherish you 

Terry Elmore brightened my days.  I was blessed to know him and have him as a friend.  Terry was the epitome of a servant and always inspired me to be a servant to all I served.

I had many opportunities from Northwest Precinct to give him rides and he always enjoyed the police car and wanted to talk on the radio.

Terry would ride his bicycle to the precinct, even in inclement weather, just to be able to serve at the department and help around the precinct and encourage officers as they came and went.
Terry would always make a point to ask me to tell the captain he said hello as well as the dispatchers.
Terry was very grateful and always made a point to ask me to tell my wife and daughter hello for him.

Kevin and Perry and the rest of Terry‘s family and friends I wish you the most heartfelt sympathy during this time.


Terry was a regular at the place my son plays/DJ's Sundays  - Brokedown Palace. He was such a joy to be around. He made sure he wished me a Happy Mothers day several times that Friday, at the festival. He will be dearly missed.

I could always count on Terry to come in to work on his days off, even @ the last minute He was the hardest working employee we ever had at Sizzler & ALWAYS wearing a smile! Terry  and Kevin are two of the most beutiful souls' I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.  Finding the right words at a time like this seem impossible.  However, please know that I am so very sorry for the loss of our beloved Terry.  The pain of loosing a family member is so deep.  May you find comfort in each other as well as in knowing  that Terry is with our dear Lord and well taken care of.

I met terry about 12 years ago when I was a senior in high school doing a ride along for a class. Fast forward 5 years later then I joined OPD and was happy to see Terry was still working at the NW precinct. It was always nice to see terry at the QT on 88th and Maple St down the street from his house. He never forgot a face and would always let you know that he and Adam Fisher shared the same birthday. Rest In Peace buddy! 

Terry was always friendly and kind.  What a gem!  I saw him often when I lived in the neighborhood and he worked at Sizzler.  He shared the same birthday as my mother and always stopped on his bike and said,      " Hi sweetheart.         How's your mom doin' "?                        
It amazed me he did not forget.

I always loved when Terry walked into whatever bar I was at and heard, "Hi sweetheart" followed by a kiss on the cheek. Always brightened my day.

Terry was always a pleasure to see at the Convenient Store  and always asked how my Dad was or Ricky and asked how Drywall was going !! terry will be missed !! Rip !!!

Terry was always just a smile away. He loved everyone he came in contact and couldn’t be more proud to serve his brothers and sisters in blue! Say hi to my grandpa Terry! You’ll be missed!

I worked with him for 12 years til he retired. He was so nice loved working with him. He so nice and always talked about being with the cops on Saturday. 

We loved seeing terry come in to pat and mikes bar. We always gave him free soda and loved how he would say “hey buddy”. He gave so much joy to so many people. Rest in pease friend❤️ Mike and kandace Coschka. 

Terry is among the finest men I've known. Without reservation he cared about people.


Terry may you Rest In Peace as you always brought a smile to all our faces.

I will miss my friend Terry. We met when I was a new officer on the police department 1987. I was doing traffic control down the road from his mom's house when he came riding up on his bicycle. He had a police radio with him and needed help getting the channels programmed. Over the years, we made many stops at Martins Pastry for glazed donuts. Terry assisted me doing cruiser inventory and made (and drank) many pots of coffee while greeting officers coming and going from work. Lazy was not part of his life. He worked and retired from Right Style Optical and ran the dishwasher at Sizzler and Homestyle Cafe. A smile would always come to my face when I answered the phone to hear his voice saying 'Hey Dawn Archer.  How you doing buddy?!' Little did we know that last week's lunch together would be our last.
