Preceded in death by: son, Nicholas; mother, Margaret "Violet" Holderness; brother, Harold K. Holderness II; sister, Virginia Dadisman; aunt, Kathryn Allen.
Russ was born in Omaha, NE at St. Joseph Hospital. He was raised by a single parent. He enjoyed a good card game, throwing the dice in Vegas, working on cars, driving his '70 Corvette "Old Yeller", fishing, food-especially a good steak, watching the Huskers play, drinking & hanging out with best friends. He was a south Omaha boy. He may have been impoverished but never depressed. In his later years, he loved his coffee in the morning, playing online poker, watching TV, and visiting with family.
He always felt like he had to be a tough guy, but we all knew he was a real softy. He sought to know and understand the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. We will miss his stories of his youth, laughing with him, and the love that he shared with family.
