Ronald "Ron" Jack Gasper

Preceded in death by brother, Larry Gasper; and parents, Sam and Dorothy Gasper.

Survived by loving wife of 50 years, Deb Gasper (Gosselin); children, Nikki Lovings (Gasper), and Ron Gasper (Cecile); grandchildren, Jerrick Toves (Peyton), Abigail “Abbey” Lovings, CC Lovings, Derek Lovings, and Reagan Lovings; great-grandchildren, Kamea Gasper, and Makai Gasper-Toves; siblings, Sam D. Gasper, Walt Gasper (Laura), and Rich Gasper (Cindy); and many nieces, nephews, cousins; and many other family and friends.

Ron was a proud member of the IBEW Local 22 for 35 years and was employed by Omaha Public Schools for over 20 years. Ron was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and several additional “adopted” children. He was an avid dog lover owning several Weimaraners, Mastiffs and his current English Setter, Riley. He loved cooking for people and making homemade sausage with his brother. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and was a member of the Omaha Fish and Wildlife Club. Ron loved to travel, play games with family, and garden.

There will be a Celebration of Life gathering for Ron at Hanscom Park United Methodist Church, 4444 Frances Street, Omaha, NE 68105 on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM with a time for sharing memories from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Casual and colorful dress encouraged. Dinner will be included.

Memorials suggested to Ron's family for further designation toward melanoma research.
