Robert "Bob" James Eccles

Bob passed away at his Mesa, Arizona home with his special friend, Mary, by his side. Bob loved his time in Arizona and enjoyed his many travels through the years, whether it be by car, motorhome, or motorcycle.

He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the American Legion where he held many positions from 1954 until his death. He served in many councils, including National Legislature, Ralston City, and Messiah Church.

Bob served a term as Mayor of Ralston. He was a successful businessman with many different business ventures, most notably Eccles Heating and Air Conditioning.

Bob is survived by his children, Timothy (Sandy J.), Steven, Ronald (Pam), Patrick (Cindy), and Debbie; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Larry) Griffith, and Barb Raiber; brothers-in-law, Bill Hruby, and Neil Stuber; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, John and Alta; wife, Ann; wife, Bev; siblings, Etta Mae, Juanita (Ray), John (Betty), Genny (Richard), Rosetta, Silvia, and Clifford; brother-in-law, Pat; and grandson, Jeffrey.

A visitation for Bob will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A memorial service will occur Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A celebration of life reception will occur Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Post Event Center, 7400 Q St, Ralston, Nebraska 68127.
